As soon as I read your comments I...Shauni and Sandy
As soon as I read your comments I realized what was missing with the book. Why WEREN'T the other brothers involved, especially given the situation and his confusion. I understand that Zacarius considered himself to be alone, but he wouldn't have connected with his brothers? Or barring that why wouldn't they have connected with him through their family bond. That was done is every other book so it is odd that it didn't happen in this one.Lynettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16055170355906285621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8405854896968003712.post-82663841661388578442011-11-17T11:16:21.996-05:002011-11-17T11:16:21.996-05:00I agree with Shauni. The Dark series is at it's best, when CF has interaction between the Carpathians, and except for the small paragraph or two in the first chapter (the conversation with his brothers) and a sentence or two with Dominic and Solange...there is NO other connection with the Carpathians.

Fans of CF love her storylines, that involve more than a single couple, a mated pair....e.g. Ghostwalker Teams....and hopefully, she will take her storyline BACK to the Carpathian mountains for the next several books....

Loved you review...you don't hold anything back....Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06655113165373555283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8405854896968003712.post-38113529662244274692011-11-17T11:08:09.898-05:002011-11-17T11:08:09.898-05:00I read this review and loved your presentation.. I...I read this review and loved your presentation.. I had to laugh at your terminology and may even use it on occasion.. You had a very good point about CF's excessive narrative.. I have commented on this very thing in her past few books.

I think she fell short on the entire DLC arc.. There was so much missing. I know she said you would either love Zaccarius or hate him.. One of her best traits in a book is the interaction between past characters and the current couple.. and she totally missed the boat on that..Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16916659051394487272noreply@blogger.com
