She is an amazing writer who writes with great historical detail. She is also the reason I took so many African American History courses when I was in college. Anyhoo. Sorry for the major gush fest here, back to the point . . . . Ms. Jenkins will be offering a copy of her latest release Night Hawk to a commentor to my blog. You have until Sunday, November 20th Midnight EST to enter. And you should, because seriously, Ms. Jenkins is just freaking amazing.)

Great interview, Lynette. I'm a big fan of Ms. Jenkins too, both her historical and her contemporary novels.
I love Ms. J!! She's always a sweetheart to me whenever I see here. And whoa!! The Night Hawk cover is hawt!!
How have I not heard of her before? I love historical romance and I would love to read one from the African-American perspective. I really feel they are left out of historical romance especially. Thanks for introducing me to her.
Where have I been? After reading your interview I am going to add her to my TBR list today. Thanks for the interview.
Seriously you guys she is amazing. Ever since I read Night Song when it was published in the early '90's I've read all her historical romances. Here is her website.
