Welcome to My Blog!

Hi. My name is Lynette and I'm an avid reader. I decided to write a blog because, well why not. I know my blog doesn't look pretty, but I totally suck at designing this type of stuff and I never got around to reading the Idiot's Guide to Creating Blogs (is there even a book like that). So bear with me as I learn about all this. I'll use this site to review books and to comment on whatever is going on my mind, but my primary focus will be on reviewing books.

I love, love, love romance novels. The first romance novel I read was Velvet Angel by Jude Deveraux. I was eleven years old. My older cousin's friend saw me reading while the rest of the kids were playing (what was I the only one) and gave me the book to read. Shortly thereafter, I devoured every book in the Velvet Series and my love of romance began.

My love reading romance transferred into my love of writing. In middle school, instead of paying attention to my teachers, I spent my time writing plays which featured me and my friends and our heroes . . . New Edition. Though it wasn't until I read If Only You Knew by Carla Fredd that I realized that I could write romances about people who looked like me.

My favorite genres are romantic suspense, historical, erotica, and contemporary romance. Though I'll read anything as long as it contains a happily ever after and the book focuses on the hero and heroine's journey.

So tell me, what's the first romance novel you read and how has it transformed your life.

Can't wait to start chatting with you.

Hey there! Welcome. The first romance I read was probably one of my mom's Harlequins. Maybe "P.S. I Love You" a Sweet Dreams (teen category romance). Been hooked ever since!

Welcome to the blogsphere, and I suck even more at designing. I wrote a blog recently about my first romance book (or first grown up book if you will) and it was "The New Frotier" by Jackie Casto. I got in trouble for reading it and then deflected the argument to "I am in trouble for reading a book but my brother is allowed to watch Showtime late at night?" LOL he was so mad at me for that. Come by and check me out anytime.

Hi Lily. I caused a family fight when my aunt caught me reading Lucky. I think I was in high school at the time. Didn't know what the big deal was. LOL. One aunt was pissed that I was reading the book but the rest of my family was relieved I was in the house reading instead of running the streets. LOL.
