January 2011 Round Up!

I told you that I was going to try and be more proactive with my monthly round up posts. Here's what I read this month, with the exception of 1 or 2 Ellora's Cave titles that I couldn't log into Goodreads.

I am reading now. There is a chance that I might finish tonight, depends on how the kidlets act tonight when I get home, who knows.

Good book that I had some issues with. See my review HERE!

I couldn't finish this book. See why HERE!

Read for my own pleasure. Didn't do a review. It's my attempt to read everything Lauren Dane has ever written. If you haven't read her stuff (especially her Brown Series and her Futuristic series) you're missing out.

I didn't finish this book and returned it to the library because it was way overdue. I was trying to read it because I heard a lot about this author, but I just thought that the heroine was a spoiled princess and she got on my nerves to much to care about her beyond page 50.  I also think because I work for the police that for her to think that she can circumvent the system because she has money just annoyed me too much. I did like the writing, so I'll probably read the sequel.

This was a free read from Amazon. I'm unsure if I'll do a review. This is a short that felt as if you were dumped in the middle of a series that you kneew nothing about. I was surprised that this wasn't part of a series. That was my only beef. I liked the writing and will check to see if my library has anything else by this author.

I really liked this book. I made it a recommended over at CK2S Kwips and Kritiques where I also review books at. Check out my review HERE.

Liked it better than the first, but I still had some issues. I reviewed this over at CK2S Kwips and Kritiques. Check out my review HERE!

Not as campy as the first. I liked it and will get the next when it comes out. Check out my review HERE!

Got this as a free Amazon read. Still might review. But I've been lazy about writing reviews.

NO PICTURE

Giving by Charlotte Stein. I can't find a book cover on-line and my work filters block Ellora's Cave releases. I'll do a review as soon as I write it up. Once again, been lazy.

Another book I haven't reviewed yet. Catching a theme? I probably won't. Cute book, got it at the library. Wish there was more charecter development and interaction. Read like a series romance. If you like Harelquin American's you'd like this book.

I really should to a reivew of this book. I had some major issues with it. Once again, I've been lazy.

I liked. Check out my review HERE!

I need to review this for CK2S Kwips and Kritiques. I've had the half finished review on my computer for a long time. I am so lame.

Best book ever. Love, love, love this book. It's a re-read. Check out my review HERE!

Cute sci-fi romance. Check out my review HERE!

Nice sci-fi. Campy, but addicting. Check out my review HERE!

So there you are. According to Goodreads, this is what I read in January 2011. It's pretty much accurate with one or two titles. I have about twenty library books sitting on the shelf at home that I have to get through, so February's focus will be on my library reads, I think! LOL!

My favorite reads this month will have to be the Gini Koch's. Okay, I know I've talking about how silly they are, but I still liked them. Sue me!

My most disappointing read was Shadowfever.

How many books have you read in January? What was your favorite? What was your least favorite? What would you recommend?

I almost fell out of my chair when I saw your Monthly Round Up post! LOL! I can't believe January is over. You read an eclectic bunch of books this month.

I guess I need to start working on my post when I get home this evening.

I know the month creeped up quick didn't it. I'm still not used to saying it's 2011. I have a good mix that I picked up from the library so February is going to be more mixed up as far as the romance genre's I got! Please I've been waiting on some books that to come in the mail for me to review from Kwips. LOL!
